There are twists upon twists in this exceptional crime novel, but what lingers most in the mind are the characters. A beautifully-written, and ultimately very moving, story about the families we have and the families we find. I loved it.

What starts out as an interior monologue by a comatose traffic accident victim step by step turns into the complex story of a child abduction. With the unraveling of the back story, the novel gains complexity, the characters come to life and with the final turn of the plot everything falls into place. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio book, also because of two speakers' doing an excellent job.
