Five years ago, Janine Tolley died of what the cops said was a drug overdose. Her daughter Madisyn doesn't believe it and wants to hire John Logan to find the truth.
Maddie is 14, homeless, and Logan believes she simply doesn't want to face some hard facts about her mom's death - until men try to snatch Maddie from under his nose. Then witnesses lie to him.
