I am now 2:40 minutes into the story and all that has happened is that I feel that if I hear the word "fashion" one more time I will scream. Everything is about how people "look" and what they wear and what their figure is like.
Also how sexist is the author? Speak of stereotyping: The only man in the fashion business is the boss. Anyone remotely smart is male. Finance --> male. Computer --> male. I cannot listen to the end.

superficial and boring

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es in ein paar Minuten noch einmal.
Diese Geschichte wirkt auf mich recht konstruiert. Die Modebranche ist auch kein Setting, das mich erfreut, zumal halbherzig als Hintergrund genutzt. Die Hauptperson schlingert irgendwie durch die Geschichte. Der Ex-Freund wirkt völlig eigenartig, mir war nicht klar, warum sie ihm hinterher trauerte, etwas, das am Ende des Buchs als Aha Erlebnis verkauft wird.
Die Sprecherin lispelt leicht, wenn ich das richtig sehe, was ja nicht verwerflich ist, meines Erachtens aber zum Vorlesen von Hörbüchern nicht gut taugt. Bin nicht geflasht von der Geschichte und möchte auch keine der Personen im Buch im wahren Leben kennenlernen. Der insgesamte Unterhaltungswert war halbwegs ok.
