I’m supposed to be the alpha, in control of my own life, but coming from a high background, there are some drawbacks.
Lucas Brown, alpha of the east and south Caribou pack, is in a bit of a pickle. How? His parents are high up in society. Yes, his father retired to him, but he expects him to act appropriately—even in an alpha position—and that means taking a mate and having pups. There’s just one teeny, tiny problem with that—Lucas is gay. He hasn’t come out to anyone, not even his closest best friend; he knows his parents won’t approve. Unfortunately, his parents attempt to hook him up at one of their events they’re hosting at the packhouse. Lucas manages to sneak away from said hookup, only to run into gorgeous, muscular Basil. Little does he realize that Basil is a council member.
Basil Jammer, one of the newer members of the council, and a dragon to boot. He’s been invited to one of the non-profit events that the Browns in the Caribou pack are putting on. He does not expect to run into their charming and handsome son, Lucas. He does not expect sparks to fly between the two of them, and he doesn’t expect Lucas to run away from him.
