But Gus isn't normal and Casey deserves someone who can be. Suddenly wanting to be that someone, Gus steps out of his comfort zone and plans to become the most normal person ever.

I do really enjoy reading such ordinary yet somewhat profoundly meaningful story that leaves a lingering feeling of a combination between reminiscence and melancholy after I read it. The book is an unadulterated pleasure to listen to. I can only recommend it.

The book's like that comfort food on a winter day!

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es in ein paar Minuten noch einmal.
Mit viel Witz und Souveränität wird hier eine außergewöhnliche Geschichte erzählt. TJ hat ein Händchen für besondere Geschichten. Und dafür die glaubwürdig erscheinen zu lassen. Das weed Thema ist nicht so meins und war mir oft zu viel. Zu sehr im Vordergrund. Das konnte schon mal anstrengend werden. Aber die Geschichte drum herum ist epic. Ich musste teilweise so laut lachen. Seriously? What the hell? Die beiden Protagonisten sind wirklich süß. irgendwie. Aber auch dieses Buch ist wieder eines welches unter die Haut geht. Verlust, Unsicherheit und sexuelle Identität sind einige der Themen. Ich finde sie wunderbar übertragen aber es ist intensiv.
Der Sprecher macht seine Sache wirklich gut. Ich höre ihm so gerne zu.
Auch wenn dieses Buch nicht eines meiner liebsten wird ist es trotzdem großartig. Und der zweite Teil ist noch besser . Und die Protagonisten aus diesem Teil kommen auch wieder vor. Es lohnt sich.
