Was zur Hölle habe ich da gerade gelesen? Ich liebe TJ klune. Seine Bücher sind epic! von dieser Reihe war ich zuerst nicht so besonders angetan. Dieses ganze Weed Thema ist eigentlich nicht so meins. Ich muss ehrlich gestehen das es mich an einigen Stellen genervt hat. Aber die Charaktere haben mich dafür entschädigt. TJ hat es mal wieder geschafft einen unglaublich guten Bezug zur Realität und echten menschlichen Emotionen zu finden. Seine Protagonisten sind unheimlich glaubwürdig und dabei so herzlich erfrischend und lustig. Mir gehen seine Bücher immer sehr nahe, aber vor allem wenn über mentel health Probleme gesprochen wird. Der Mann weiß wovon er spricht. Und das kann manchmal sehr... intensiv sein. Vor allem wenn man damit selber zu tun hat.
Das hörbuch ist großartig aufgenommen und der Sprecher macht seine Sache wirklich gut.

I’m a big fan of TJ Klune and my most favourite title is “How to Be a Normal Person”. The only thing I don’t like about that story is the cannabis rambling. Image, how exited I was about “How to Be a Movie Star” and how disappointed I was, when that story was everything I didn’t like about “Normal Person” only longer!
I always thought it was implied that Josiah Erickson is good looking but not a particular good actor. I thought that some of the humour was about that self-delusion. SPOILER*** But in the end, an outside source confirms that Josiah is actually quite a good actor. Selden I have felt more let down!
I’m not adverse to a good, cold beer and a nice joint after a long week, but smoking cannabis constantly and being high constantly is nothing to be glorified in my opinion. That I thought about that and not about the story only shows how incredible boring the story was. I absolutely cannot recommend this (audio)book!
