The cult members keep telling me that Jake is my Alpha and I am his Omega - his to claim, his to take. But when we finally get away from them, we don’t dare to tell anyone what they made us do together.

Author's Note number one - This is a dark romance - some scary things happen to the heroine. However, the hero is not abusive to her - they are in this situation together. But if you have ever been kidnapped or abused, please be aware that parts of this book may be triggering. Please listen responsibly. (PS - I promise it turns out okay in the end.)
Author's note number two - This is a STEPbrother book. There is no blood relation between the hero and the heroine. They are completely unrelated. I also want to stress that everyone in this book is over 18 - none of the characters are underage.

If you can live with a wicked combination between horror and sex this book is for you, but beware the HEA is in contrast extremely unlikely in comparison to the rest of the story, and feels “wrongly rushed” : SPOILER!
That the main male character supposedly found an island far away from their culture and people (without super rich kind daddy finding them and executing them) seems highly unlikely.
It is for me a weird book, but definitely well written.
The internal belief systems are explained more and more throughout the audiobook and even if the main female character is really annoying at times, still believable.
But beware if to much sex scenes and to much horror is not for you, do not choose it.
The speaker has exactly the voice one would attribute to a young adult.
It’s not a charming romantic paranormal romance, it is less likely i will listen to other books in this series.
