Das Aber zuerst: Der Sprecher ist nicht mein Fall, wenn es um die „Frauenstimme“ und um manche Reden im starken Slang geht. Sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Verlangsamt und idiotisch. Sorry, mag daran liegen, dass ich kein native Speaker bin.
Die Story selbst ist jedoch interessant und die Charaktere sind wohl geformt. Das Leben in den Highlands, die (w)irren Clan-Beziehungen und die Politik sind historisch hervorragend dargestellt.
Es ist eine Romanze, unbestritten bekommt man davon genug, aber die Story hat Tiefgang. Die Psychologie ist erwachsen und passt zu den Charakteren. Die Serie geht weiter und ist lesenswert. Das Hörvergnügen hat wie gesagt Einschränkungen… aber kostenlos im Abo kann man es hin- und mitnehmen.

this book was well written, well narrated. I liked the main characters very much. though it was an enemy to lovers there was not much antagonism between the couple. they communicated well and they were determined to make it work. the heroine was strong, resilient and perservering. she did not Lose herself in selfpity and bratty behaviour. the hero was understanding and charming and determined to woo her. i deducted a Star because this book had one of my top3 pet peeves: it gave me blue balls. for 3/4 of the book every time it started to get Hot they were "interrupted". never the less I will definitly Continue the series.
