Hearts Connect is a compilation of spiritual journeys undertaken by individuals in the 1990s/2000s mostly from the African Caribbean and African communities in Britain (and a few beyond). It highlights the transformations that can take place within an intentional decision to embark upon delving deeper in oneself to elevate consciousness and a relationship with a Higher Power.
Hearts Connects also illustrates the various emotions that are involved in the process of change and desiring a spiritual connection with God and one another from the Islamic tradition. It gives an insight into the thoughts and twists and turns that ensue when one lets go and lets God guide them through, hence showing love, trust and surrender. This relationship then affects every relationship they encounter and brings meaning to whatever they face.
The honest stories told with introductions from the author alongside scriptural and spiritual threads encompasses the term tawheed, the Oneness of God. Thus giving the listener permission to notice similarities and differences along their own path of being.
