Three lesser demons save her and sort of nurse her back to health. Reese is infused with all three demons’ blood, making her not human, but not demon, either.

The three demons die during the ritual to slave bind her to them, and she wakes up with gaps in her memory. She knows one name, Durin, and the powerful hatred that comes with it.

Reese must eradicate Durin’s grip on the city. That’s all she knows.

Reese is driven by things she doesn’t understand to kill him before she’s killed herself.

The protagonist is one of those characters....the characters that are nearly invincible if you believe the description in the book, but can't seem to get anything done despite that. Her actions throughout the book make no sense, for example her 1st and 3nd interaction with this Ethan character, both times the book tells me that she wants to attack him, but both times she backs herself into a corner where he easily overpowers her instead of even once trying to attack him. The book tells us at least 3 times how brutal she is with the thugs she hunts, but in the whole 1st half of the book she doesn't even mortally wound anyone, the only person that gets killed is the person that sacrifices himself for her.

The discussions ppl have with eatchother are so braindead it hurts, for example why the hell doesn't anybody just explain the situation to the protagonist instead of vague warnings that are sure to have no effect on her?
