    Inhaltsangabe

When Amy Fortune returns to her childhood home, she discovers something sinister in the air - but is former lover Leone Garoul stalking her or protecting her?

Amy Fortune and Leone Garoul were teenage lovers. Now, years later, Amy returns to Little Dip, the Garoul home valley, to help her aunt finish a botanical project. Except Little Dip is no longer the happy place of Amy’s childhood memories. There’s something sinister in the woods. And why hasn’t Leone moved on? Why does she still dog Amy’s every move?

As more and more of the Garoul family arrive for a special hunting weekend, parts of the puzzle come together and Amy’s fears escalate as she moves closer to the truth - and the secret that has eluded her since childhood.

    Another one of those.

Why is it that ppl in these stories never talk like real ppl. Here all the hurt was caused by one unexplained trip without a good bye. After the protagonist found out that the other party was still interested the 1st and only question should've been "If you had feelings for me, why did you leave without a good bye and an explanation?", but that question never came. Instead we had the protagonist slowly falling for the love interest again even though that love interest is behaving like a smug abuser who knows that it's victim will come back even after hurting her really bad. And that this abuser love interest tries to get her with love magic is not romantic, it's creepy and just shows what a weak personality she has, since she isn't even gown up enough to stand before the person she claims to love and just say "I am sorry for all the pain I caused you, please give me another chance". How can I root for them and enjoy the story when I really dispise the person the protagonist is supposed to fall in love with.
