Young detective, Annie Tillery, wins a series of art lessons at a prestigious art gallery, plunging her into the New York City art world and a brutal murder mystery. At the gallery, Annie discovers her instructor, Francesca Gabrielli, engaged in a volatile argument with John DiCristiani, the gallery's director. He demands that Francesca make forgeries of masterpieces for him.
