This course includes Lessons 1-5 from the Finnish Level 1 program featuring 2.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Finnish.

I have been looking for an audio course in Finnish for a while now and this is the best so far. The speakers are real people (no AI!), the breaks for your own responses have the perfect duration, the narrative is logical, the pace is good. Essentially you become part of a role play.
Having said that, I do have previous experience with Finnish from Duolingo and a Finnish book so I knew a lot of the words already and my pace might not be representative. For me it was the perfect addition because books and Duolingo don’t help you to spontaneously form sentences in a conversation and often rely on visual aids that you don’t have in real life.
Talking about real life - all mentioned programs use kirjakieli (written Finish) while the Finns would use puhekieli (spoken Finnish) in conversations.
This audiobook is not a stand-alone means to learn Finnish. Learning Finnish without diving into its complex grammar is near impossible and makes it unnecessarily hard. But it is a valuable addition.
The only minus: around 20 € for 5 lessons with 30 minutes each that have a lot of breaks and repetitions are quite pricey.
