During the latest operation of „Search and Protect“ Arin Siri reconnected with her little sister Mari and had an unexpected encounter with a security guard. When she finds that same man injured and unconscious at her next mission, Arin becomes more than curious. Since meeting Arin, Jason Landon did rethink his job ethics. Now he wants to do the right thing and not being just a mercenary for money. Together with Arin's GSD King they form an awesome team trying to finally bring down the human trafficking ring on the Hawaiian Islands.

Piper J. Drake has written Arin's story with, if possible, even more action and suspense and a pefect mix between hesitant attraction and sizzeling chemistry, grabbing and not letting me go. Well, I am a true HEA fan and, although the desicions Arin&Jason made felt absolutely realistic, I would have loved to have a little more romance for the two of them at the end. Still they made it, together with David&Lyn, to my favourite couples of the series!

Wow! Daniel Thomas May and Caroline Slaughter really have outdone themselves with the narration of this fast paced, action filled story and at the same time emotional relationship development between those two strong characters. First I had trouble trusting Jason, really believing his motives. But that changed when he easily could read difficult Arin, work together with her on mere guestures and also have a good connection to King. The accent Mr.May lend Jason was a perfect fit to bring this roguishly handsome MC truely „alive“ in my imagination. Superb listening enjoyment guaranteed!
