The book of Esther is one of the only two books in the Bible named for a woman. It tells the story of a Jewish woman who risks her life to serve God and her people. It also explains the origin of Purim to the Jewish people. Thematically, this book confirms God's sovereignty and his resulting ability to save his children. Dr. Bill Creasy's analysis of this text includes quotations, historical background, and modern analogies. His lecture is accessible but in-depth.
