What happened there? The narrator is great, the author is one of my new favourites. But the recording of this audiobook constantly switches between two clearly separate takes with wildly different audio parameters. It's so incredibly immersion-breaking. Mostly single sentences or quotes that seem to have been re-recorded at a later date, with a different setup. The book itself deserves a 5/5, I really loved it. The narrator is somewhere between 4 and 5 for me. But the audiobook quality...ouch.

Title says it all. A Solid Story, Main character is a bit dense sometimes - but gets called out about it. Good world building Overall I enjoyed the roughly 80 hours this far, and will get the next one. But some passages seem to be re recorded- but with different Equipment I guess. Not a Deal breaker but somewhat annoying over time.

I really liked the first book but as time went on I began to dislike Will more and more. I know he is supposed to be "dumb" but the stupid decisions just kept piling on. !!(Spoiler for the 1st hour)!!

The deal with the king was my breaking point. This is just so unbearably stupid that i cannot continue reading/hearing this.

This is so frustrating because i LOVE the lore and worldbuilding that went into this series. But damn did the MC ruin it for me.
