What happened there? The narrator is great, the author is one of my new favourites. But the recording of this audiobook constantly switches between two clearly separate takes with wildly different audio parameters. It's so incredibly immersion-breaking. Mostly single sentences or quotes that seem to have been re-recorded at a later date, with a different setup. The book itself deserves a 5/5, I really loved it. The narrator is somewhere between 4 and 5 for me. But the audiobook quality...ouch.

Tolle Story

Title says it all. A Solid Story, Main character is a bit dense sometimes - but gets called out about it. Good world building Overall I enjoyed the roughly 80 hours this far, and will get the next one. But some passages seem to be re recorded- but with different Equipment I guess. Not a Deal breaker but somewhat annoying over time.

Like the first three books it never gets dull. Great story, greatly performed. I couldn't stop binging the now existing four titles.

An amazing sequel

I feel like this series is getting a little long, LOVED the first 2 books but I feel like the author was running out of story material in this one.. can't say I didn't enjoy it tho, still a great book but it's not my favourite of the series and took me a little longer to finish. Some scenes were stretched out a bit but others were really great so I still like the book :)

Great but the other parts were better

I still like the series but can some of the criticism others have given against the MC. But I can overlook that. What annoyed me more were the parts that obviously had to be re-recorded because the sound quality was totally different at parts. That’s what made me take off a star.

Entertaining Audiobook, sound quality sometimes iffy

I really liked the first book but as time went on I began to dislike Will more and more. I know he is supposed to be "dumb" but the stupid decisions just kept piling on. !!(Spoiler for the 1st hour)!!

The deal with the king was my breaking point. This is just so unbearably stupid that i cannot continue reading/hearing this.

This is so frustrating because i LOVE the lore and worldbuilding that went into this series. But damn did the MC ruin it for me.

Cannot stand Will anymore

I really love this story, a good continuation of the series. The one thing that annoys me, is the filtering (I guess) issues with the Audio. It keeps on jumping from one preset to the other (at least it sounds like it) which is not only annoying for the ears but also changes the voice of the narrator so much that it is sometimes difficult to tell which character he is impersonating…
Other than that, it s a 5 Star all the way 😊

It seems like a lot of sentences are re-recorded with a different Setup the rest is comparable good to the previous books.
