Über diesen Titel

On December 7, 1941, as the great battleships Arizona, Oklahoma, and Utah lie paralyzed and burning in the aftermath of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. A crack team of U.S. Navy salvage divers headed by Edward C. Raymer are hurriedly flown to Oahu from the mainland. Their two-part orders are direct and straightforward: (1) rescue as many trapped sailors and Marines as possible, and (2) resurrect what remains of America's once mighty pacific fleet. Descent Into Darkness tells their story.

This book is for every one who is interestet in WW2, diving and history in itself.
Especially the speaker of this Audiobook imoressed me with his tempo and very articulate voice.
I regard this book verry highly.
The Author has written a verry emersive account of the salvage Operations arount the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor Attacks.
I find the ending of this book especially interesting beacuse he wrote this book 50 years after the events happened. Therefore he looked into the then written history and found that there where indeed a few arrors in the History Books.
A good reminder that History is not as static as you may think it is.
Thanks to drachinifel on YouTube for his series of the salvage operations in Pearl Habor and his Recommendation of this book.

A very good book indeed!
