Proud, beautiful Delilah, the mistress of the magic arts, is appalled. Edward, her owner, has gone on holiday - without her. So Delilah decides to leave home.
By midnight she is miles away. And when she reaches the grim city, the nightmare really begins. If only she had the power to shrink humans like she can shrink dogs....

Kritikerstimmen
"When her young owner leaves for vacation, Delilah, a magical cat, proceeds to have her own adventures, finding her family members, saving animals in peril and catching a thief. Building an empathy with Delilah from the beginning, Forsyth uses her softer tones of voice to convey the kitty's initial confusion and loneliness. Soon Delilah's true core of inner strength and determination begin to show as Forsyth adds feelings of assuredness and positive tones to Delilah's voice. Forsyth easily changes roles between animal characters, as well as humans who appear. Her deft maneuvering smoothly moves the story forward with a quick pace and steady style that enhance the text."
