A former religious radio host raised in the cradle of Christianity, Seth Andrews, battled his own doubts for many years. His attempts to reconcile faith and the facts led him to a conclusion previously unthinkable, and this once-true believer ultimately became host of one of the most popular atheist communities on the internet.

This is the very interesting story of Seth Andrews and how he freed himself from the constraints of religion and superstition. You get to experience how he felt and what happened with and for him as well how he reached other people. Each chapter is introduced by a small paragraph/quote from a fan about their experience or view. He tells his story very compelling and even though I was never religious I could relate to his beliefs, his doubts and ultimate rejection of those beliefs. Seth Andrews also is a very capable narrator, he knows how to speak and when to empathize. I would say this book is for everyone, believer, atheist, even the more fundamentalist. Give it a shot and challenge your world view. Question everything and start thinking.

Und das aus vielen Gründen, sicherlich auch, weil Religion längst der Vergangenheit angehören sollte. Sie aber immer noch unsere Gegenwart bestimmt.

Ein wichtiges Buch
