I mean it, the performer seems to have set himself the goal to get you to sleep. No intonation, no voice changes between characters, slow reading even when the story beams with battle spirit. In hundreds of audiobooks, I don't remember one performance as monotone as this.
And the author doesn't help the situation either. You may have started to forget the characters from the first book, since the second is literally in other universes or because one read the first some time ago, well, in this case you better brush up your knowledge. He doesn't make the slightest effort to reintroduce the characters, to set the context of the story or to kill of some of the extras.
Due to these two issues, I couldn't enjoy the audiobook. I count myself lucky that I bought the Kindle edition with the audiobook...
