This is a deeply personal story of a sister who lost her brother to a fentanyl overdose. Tiff Carson found her brother Cory’s struggle with addiction frustrating and impossible to understand until he chose to use his voice.

Near the end of his life, she discovered the truth about his childhood and adult traumas. She was handed the puzzle pieces she knew were missing but could never find. This discovery, along with navigating her own heart wrenching struggles made Tiff realize she would love him through it, no matter how painful.

Tiff takes you into a joint therapy session with her brother Cory, where they talk about their shared experiences and begin to reconnect as siblings. Walking this healing journey with her brother was what it took for them to become close again, like they were as kids, before the trauma.

In one of his darkest moments after an overdose scare, Tiff’s brother Cory made the decision to start “Dancing in the Rain” rather than see the world in a negative light. He chose joy and asked Tiff to join him. Watching her brother Cory battle with addictions most of his life, Tiff began experiencing Anticipatory Grief, knowing it would likely be the reason for her brother’s death.
