Crowd-Horror by Robert E. Howard, narrated by Mike Vendetti as an audiobook, is the thrilling tale of a highly talented prize fighter as told by his manager. Highly talented until he is in front of a crowd. The roar of the crowd causes him to abandon his boxing skills and attack like a wild man opening himself up to devastating blows from skilled fighters. His manager is ready to throw in the towel until a petite blonde comes upon the scene and the fighter maintains control of his thinking, marshalling his powers into a very skilled fighting machine.
Hemingway was a master at describing a bullfight. Robert E Howard is a master describing the sweet science of prizefighting.
