Die schwierige Thematik (ich möchte nicht spoilern) wird mutig und feinfühlig angegangen und erzählt. Dies noch auf unterhaltsame Weise, ein Backman-Kunststück.
PS: Sprecher ohne US-Akzent, das ist für mich persönlich sehr viel angenehmer, zudem die Geschichte in Europa spielt :-)

Packendes, nicht immer einfaches Thema mit gutem Gespür aufbereitet. Die Geschichte bewegt, die Thematik ist aktuell. Der Autor schafft es ausgezeichnet, die Stadt lebendig, greifbar im Kopf des Zuhörers zu erschaffen und die verschiedenen Charaktere sind komplex aber gut nachvollziehbar kreiert. Insgesamt ein sehr stimmiges Bild von Beartown und seinen Bewohnern von denen jeder seine eigene Geschichte zu tragen hat.
