She was chasing funding. He was chasing freedom. Neither expected the storm to reroute everything.
Sanaa Jordan is one pitch away from saving her wellness tech startup. After a whirlwind trip to Antigua for her cousin's wedding, she boards a flight back to Philly, ready to return to structure, strategy, and her ever-growing to-do list.
But a hurricane brewing across the Caribbean changes everything.
Her plane is rerouted to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where a citywide hotel overflow leaves her sharing a luxury suite with Ezra Blake—a photographer from Brooklyn who just wrapped an assignment in Barbados. He's carefree. She's frazzled. He journals in ink. She bullet-points in apps.
The plan is simple: coexist until the storm passes. But three days of blackout skies, slow kisses, and conversations deeper than the floodwaters prove that fate had a layover of its own in mind.
Because sometimes the most unexpected detours . . . lead exactly where you're meant to land.
