Have you ever caught yourself saying, “This is just who I am”?
Maybe you’ve said, “I’m just not disciplined.” “I’ve always struggled with food.” “I’m just an emotional eater.” “I can never stick with anything.” Or maybe it’s, “I’ve tried everything. This must just be who I am.”
If any of those sound familiar, I want you to pause for a moment.
What if that’s not actually who you are?
What if these statements aren’t describing your identity at all? What if they’re describing a pattern you’ve practiced for a really long time?
Because there’s a big difference between saying, “This is who I am,” and recognizing, “This is something I’ve been doing.”
And here’s the good news: patterns can change.
You are not destined to stay stuck in the same cycle of starting over, losing momentum, feeling frustrated, and then blaming yourself for not being disciplined enough.
So if you’ve ever felt like you’re the one getting in your own way on your health journey, I want you to stick with me today.
We’re going to talk about three reasons you may be self-sabotaging your weight-loss efforts—and, more importantly, what you can begin doing differently to break that pattern.
And before we dive in, if you’re listening and thinking, “Okay, Tara, I know I need accountability. I know I need some support to actually make these changes,” I would love to connect with you.
You can email me at TaraJ@DietDitching.com to set up a Discovery Call. We can talk about what you’re struggling with, where you feel stuck, and whether one-on-one coaching might be the right next step for you.
And don't forget, I’d love to have you connected inside our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. It’s a place for encouragement, accountability, and learning how to pursue your health without the obsession, guilt, and all-or-nothing thinking.
Alright, let’s get into it—because you are not the problem, and “this is just who I am” does not have to be the end of your story.
