The European Space Agency is assessing whether existing rocket launch capacity can meet satellite demand expected to increase toward 2030. Arianespace projects nine or ten Ariane 6 launches annually from 2027, while Amazon's existing launch commitments contribute to demand. Meanwhile, ESA is supporting Rocket Factory Augsburg, PLD Space, and Isar Aerospace through the European Launcher Challenge to develop additional European launch capabilities.
