1. Adolescent Sleep Timing
A study in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry asks whether becoming a later sleeper in early adolescence predicts mental-health symptoms a year later. The researchers followed 7,489 young people from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study and used statistical weighting designed to probe possible causal effects.

2. Tau Brain Organoids
A bioRxiv preprint reports that Alzheimer’s tau filaments can be seeded in human cortical organoids. The researchers added tau seeds extracted from Alzheimer’s disease frontal cortex to organoids made from human induced pluripotent stem cells, with the cells producing their own normal levels of three-repeat tau.

3. Dendritic EEG Model
An article in Neural Computing and Applications introduces a recurrent neural-network design called the Dendrite-Inspired Recurrent Unit, or DIRU, and tests it on neonatal EEG. The architecture splits each recurrent cell into several nonlinear compartments, then uses learned attention weights to combine them into a shared hidden state.
