Way down below the ocean is where I want to be, Donovan sang about Atlantis, but where exactly is it under the ocean? Bernie Taylor sails into the Virtual Alexandria with new research that reveals the likely place the fabled city originally stood. We’ll investigate whether ancient philosophical descriptions of Atlantis align with physical, pre-Greek archaeological ruins destroyed by natural forces. By comparing accounts of red-painted stone architecture, bull worship, and regional geography, we explore whether a real prehistoric island inspired the legendary myth. We also examine celestial alignments and astronomical timing to uncover if forgotten megalithic temples hold the key to history’s most enduring mystery.
