SGM(R) Kyle Lamb has done it again! In his much anticipated follow up to Leadership in the Shadows, this time teamed with his wife Melynda, they have crafted a must-listen masterpiece for the 21st Century Christian Warrior. Team Lamb invite us to look at the ancient text, not as a dusty relic of ages past, but as a dynamic and ultra relevant guide for the modern-day warrior, either fighting on the battlefield, serving in the boardroom, or in the home leading your family.

Drawing from his extensive experience in Somalia and Iraq, he sees the stories as case studies in leadership. Joshua and Caleb are not just scouts, but a reconnaissance team conducting a Close Target Reconnaissance (CTR) of Jericho, complete with sand tables and a 5-point contingency plan. John the Baptist is not just a prophet, but a leader of an Advance Force Operation (AFO) team, preparing the way for the main effort.

The Next Mission is more than just a military analysis of the Bible. It is also a profound and deep exploration of the warrior's heart. Team Lamb delves into the lives of biblical figures, both famous and obscure, to reveal the timeless virtues that define a true warrior. Through each of these stories, Kyle and Melynda draw powerful parallels between the challenges faced by biblical warriors and those faced by our warriors today. The loneliness of leadership, the weight of command, the sting of betrayal, and the pain of loss–these are experiences that transcend time and connect the warriors of yesterday to today.

Kyle's "Battlefield Reflections" and "Lessons Learned" interspersed throughout The Next Mission, are a testament to this shared experience. In these deeply personal and often raw and candid accounts from his own distinguished career, he brings the lessons of the Bible to life, showcasing how these timeless lessons can be applied in the most demanding modern-day situations. They fight for a chance to be a member of the greatest army in the world–God's Army.
