A retired postal carrier in post-surgical recovery seemed to know three specific things he had no clear way of knowing, and one of those episodes may have saved a life. - At 2:15 AM on May 4, Pell told nurse Amy Patterson she should check Room Fourteen; at 2:17 AM Patterson found Warren Tibbs in early stages of a pulmonary embolism.
- Facilities engineer Dan Coble confirmed an HVAC duct ran between Room Fourteen and Room Fourteen-B, noted in prior maintenance but unrepaired.
- Nurse Amy Patterson kept a pencil note in her personal notebook recording Pell’s exact words and the 2:15 time, later found by journalist Gloria York.
