“A Marvellous Work and a Wonder”

What if the things that feel broken in your life aren’t actually finished?

This week in Isaiah, we see warnings about pride, worldliness, and turning away from God—but we also see an incredible message of hope, healing, and restoration through Jesus Christ.

Isaiah describes broken walls, barren ground, heavy burdens, wandering people, and things that seem beyond repair. But that isn’t where the story ends. He also describes the wilderness blooming, the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, sorrow disappearing, and God’s people being restored.

In this episode, we’re talking about what all of that means for us as moms.

We’ll dive into:

• 🩷 Babylon vs. Christ — What are we really building our lives and homes upon?
• 🩷 The burdens moms carry — and Christ’s invitation to come to Him when we are tired, heavy, and overwhelmed.
• 🩷 Waiting on the Lord — especially when prayers haven’t been answered or someone we love is wandering.
• 🩷 Jesus Christ as our sure foundation — because the goal isn’t a storm-free family; it’s a Christ-founded family.
• 🩷 Isaiah’s prophecy of “a marvellous work and a wonder” and how the Restoration is still happening in our homes today.
• 🩷 Learning to hear, “This is the way, walk ye in it” when motherhood doesn’t come with a handbook.
• 🩷 The God who restores — relationships, hearts, testimonies, families, and things we thought were too broken to repair.

One of my favorite truths from this week's study comes from Isaiah 30:18:

“And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you.”

We spend so much time talking about waiting on God, but sometimes God is waiting too. Waiting for us to turn to Him. Waiting for us to listen. Waiting for us to come home. And as mothers, sometimes loving our children means teaching, inviting, praying, testifying—and then trusting God while we wait.

Find one thing in your life that needs restoration.

Not ten things. Just one.

A relationship. A habit. Your prayers. Your scripture study. Something with one of your children. Your relationship with Christ. Or maybe something inside of you.

Ask:

“Jesus, what would restoration look like here?”

Then listen for His direction:

“This is the way, walk ye in it.” — Isaiah 30:21

And take one step.

Because this week Isaiah reminds us:

Jesus Christ is the foundation. Jesus Christ carries our burdens. Jesus Christ wipes our tears. Jesus Christ makes the wilderness bloom. Jesus Christ restores what is broken.

❤️ Broken is not the same thing as finished. Jesus Christ is still doing His marvelous work.
