The Story

The Tattooist of Auschwitz is based on the true story of Lale and Gita Sokolov, two Slovakian Jews who survived Auschwitz. When Lale, given the job of tattooing the prisoners, saw Gita waiting in line, it was love at first sight. In that moment he determined to keep them both alive. This is a story of hope and of courage.

Highly recommendable

A story about not only survival but love under the most adverse circumstances imaginable. We should be glad it has been told

Fascinating and necessary to hear about

Auf welchen Platz würden Sie The Tattooist of Auschwitz auf Ihrer Hörbuch-Bestenliste setzen?

definitiv place 1.

Welcher Moment von The Tattooist of Auschwitz ist Ihnen besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben?

The time in Ausschwitz. It was such a strange and shocking time but the author describes it without to much drama.

I would not have read the book if he wouldn't read it. I like his way of reading very much. I am happy to have found this pearl of a book through him.

Hat dieses Hörbuch Sie emotional stark bewegt? Mussten Sie laut z.B. lachen, weinen, zweifeln, etc.?

The book is very moving. It is the first time I thought about the people that lived for a long time in a concentration camp. I never imagined how life must be there. and even that love and friendship could grow there.

Even as it plays in hard times it is interesting and nice to listen to.

Good read. The story flows, and there's a lot to absorb. Sure put's one's own life into perspective. It is a chance to see through a prisoner's eyes about the happenings at the consentration camps.

Story well told
