These books have given me so much hope during the past 2 years and will continue to do so. I turn 23 in like 3 months and I'm a chronically ill queer woman who thought her twenties would look much different. I became housebound around the time the first book came out and I remember listening to it with my eyes closed and in so much pain from my flare up. But despite everything these books have made me laugh, smile and continue even in the hardest times.

The sense of belonging has always been one of my favorite themes in media. And even though this is supposed to be for younger readers, this is some of the best writing I have seen of this topic. On top of that come the amazing performances by Kate and her sister for the audiobook. A duo which I also hold very dear because of my own sister.

I will never stop being annoying about these books or recommending them. They have inspired me to keep fighting for a better future for myself and the world. For a world where being weird is not a bad thing and we look out for eachother.

HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone who's also loved The Owl House.
