  • Ep. 45- Jeremy and Angela- Community Heroes
    May 27 2026

Jeremy and Angela are true community heroes. Jeremy is Vice President for a large electrical contractor that builds infrastructure in the Northwest. Angela is the mind behind the Nampa Family Justice Center, a cancer survivor, and a police officer for 27 years. In this episode we discuss how they and their family have tackled big problems in their community and at home. This one will make you cry.

Jeremy was born in the little town of Glendive Montana in April of 1973. His family moved to Lewiston, Idaho in 1977 and Jeremy attended Camelot Elementary school from kindergarten to 2nd grade. In 1980 his family moved to Boise, Idaho. In Boise, Jeremy attended Amity Elementary, West Jr. High and Borah High School where he graduated from in 1991. Jeremy attended Boise State University chasing dreams of being a fish and wildlife biologist. It wasn’t long before he realized that working with his hands and building things was more to his liking. Jeremy transferred to the electrical apprenticeship program through BSU in 1993 and started pursuing his journeyman electrical license. Jeremy received his Journeyman Electrical license from the State of Idaho in 1997. With credits from his biology classes and adding his electrical apprenticeship program credits, Jeremy received an associates degree in natural sciences from Boise State University.

Detective Corporal Angela Weekes began her distinguished career with the Nampa Police Department in 1994. Over the years, she has served the City of Nampa in various capacities, including patrol, School Resource Officer, DARE officer, and Child Abuse investigator. She retired from the Nampa Police Department in August 2020 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Family Justice Center Foundation of Idaho. Angela found her true calling in the Crimes Against Persons Unit, where she served as a Corporal in the investigation division. This role allowed her to make a significant impact in the field of law enforcement, particularly in cases involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault.
