The first audiobook in the bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Discover the story behind the Disney+ series.

HALF BOY - HALF GOD - ALL HERO.

Look, I never asked to be the son of a Greek god. I was just a normal kid. . . until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher.

Percy Jackson is having a bad week. His life has gone from totally normal to monsters-from-Greek-mythology-randomly-appearing kind of strange. Worse still, the king of the gods thinks Percy has stolen his all-powerful lightning bolt - and it seems making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to catch the true lightning thief and stop all-out war from erupting on Mount Olympus. . .

What could possibly go wrong?

Omg it is so good I can’t stop listening to it. I recommend this to everybody.

Perfect

I liked the pacing, the characters, and the world-building. The ending was satisfying, and I really enjoyed the performance. I felt fully immersed in the story the whole time.

What put me off, though, was the protagonist’s state of mind. He’s only 12 years old, yet he’s slaying monsters like a trained assassin.

Fun and adventurous

Okay I'm might be a bit biased as I like Greek mythology, but also in general the modern version of the Greek gods was a brilliant idea. I enjoyed the funny allusions to modern times a lot. The plot was captivating, with an unexpected surprise in the end. Percy himself comes off as quite funny and sympathetic; he's a character that everyone can easy relate to. All in all, this is a novel definitely worth your time as an adult and the narrator is doing a marvels job, too.

Simply fun

Whenever Jesse spoke a different character, it sounded like when someone mockingly imitates someone 💀 it was just not a good creative choice at all. Every time Luke or.. Anyone else really came up, it was kinda cringe worthy. I hope he changes this in potential future performances

Weird performance

Just great book overall. Nice mythology references and engaging worldbuilding. All characters are well written and i appreciate how the story deals with some more difficult topics about famliy troubles in a both mature but also family friendly way.

Really great. I regret not reading it earlier.
