Some shadows are hard to shake. And someone has a mean sense of humor. And that person is springing nasty pranks around town. Who and why? And, more importantly, how can Keely Turner and Burke Sloan, the newest sheriff's deputy, stop the malicious prankster before someone gets hurt badly?
Keely, the daughter of the richest man in the county, and Burke, a newcomer with his own family baggage, are attracted to each other in spite of their intentions. The fact that her brother and his nephew become enemies doesn't help either.
In the midst of this, the mystery baby needs to be identified. But soon, Keely uncovers a clue that may lead to the baby's mother. Will the baby return to her mother or remain with her adoptive family?
But over all this hang the bigger questions. Whose is the spiteful mind behind the increasingly dangerous pranks? And will Keely and Burke be able to shed the disappointments of the past and the present and break through to love? Only God can answer that.
