Anna Martelli had lived in fear for far too long. Staying in Cincinnati, living at home, and working in The Cincinnatian Hotel held no appeal. Why not get on the train and go to Laramie where Timothy Bailey, a rancher, was ready to marry her? Granted, nobody in Wyoming expected her to arrive in the heart of a bitter winter, but whatever situation she found herself in would be temporary.
When the Catholic priest’s housekeeper decided to do a little matchmaking, the “temporary” started to feel ideal, a permanent arrangement. Anna was a perfect match for her son, a widowed man with a seven-year-old daughter. Simple became messy when Timothy fell in love with another woman, a woman about to become Anna’s new best friend.
