This book is a big step back.. The MC is quite an Idiot. The Progress is sloooow.. it feels like a filler.

There is a lot of stalling in this one. And if i hear the term "combat cards" again i probably get annoyed.
Also things are made up on the spot like "Magical weight" which never had been an issue, but now is as a patch because some things were making things too easy.

Boring and most unsatisfactory. The main character handles hundreds of cards but gets almost none. The cards he does get are almost useless or not used at all. We will likely read about the mind singer in the next few books as well

Did everything wrong

I really enjoyed the first two, but this one was just... bad.

The plot development being horribly slow is one thing, but it's like the author just decided to stop paying attention to world building. Once you start thinking about the world for half a minute it falls apart. And the continuity errors... Things such as Arthur intending to thank a certain person for having given him a card, when in reality he really got it from someone else. On top of all that you have such blatant contradictions in Arthurs character, simply because it makes for a convenient plot. It feels like this book took the author half the effort of the previous two combined.
