I Like the Charakters too.
What I didn’t like was the ending. Very dissatisfying.
Well it was a HEA as expected, but in dealing with Wickham Bennet as well as Darcy are loosing their heads entirely.
Why this cursed Villain is always coming out the victor in dealing with Mr. Darcy is a very confusing thing to me.
It would be so easy to deal with him as he deserved, one of the safest ways would be to confine him to a single cell and let him rot in deaptors prison. But no. He doesn’t get what he deserves, at least not at Darcy’s hands. A pitty.
In a way he even got better of than M. L..
Before and after this happens, the story went dragging on about Wickham, lady Catherine’s dragging on and on and on and E’s Father’s total lack of ability to take the simplest steps to hide his identity.
To say nothing of E’s stupidity in going out that fine morning, I felt also, that there were ten Pages of Wedding gown Descriptions. Very superflues and boring! I thought the book novel has turned into a Fashion Plate. .
The story collapsed in the last quarter.
That’s why I cannot really say that I enjoyed the story. I’m rather disappointed actually.
I listened to it a few months ago for the first time, and forgot about it. I stumbled about it a few days ago and tried it again. I knew that there was something I didn’t like about it, couldn’t remember the protagonists love story, so I started it again.
The narrator does a good job, but Well, it made exactly the same impression as the first time. And so.
It comes into the archive now, never thought about again. Fine.
Liked the story until the last quarter.
