Über diesen Titel
Marry or lose his inheritance—that's the ultimatum billionaire Damon Everette faces. There's one problem. The woman he craves is his sunshine PR rep… who wants nothing to do with him.
Ruthless, arrogant, and cold-hearted are some of the words I would use to describe my a**hole of a boss, Damon Everette.
That doesn't stop the goosebumps from rising along my neck every time he says my name or the way my pulse races when his stormy gray eyes pierce mine.
So, when he coerces me into a fake marriage to uphold his family's tradition, I can't resist pushing his buttons.
He's a walking red flag, and I should run the second this arrangement ends. But the very thought of losing him is suffocating—a dangerous addiction that I can't seem to break.
Is this really love or just a twisted desire to own me? And deep down, do I secretly crave to be possessed by him?
A Tempting Arrangement is a red flag billionaire, marriage of convenience, standalone romance from USA Today bestselling author J. Wilder.
©2024 J. Wilder (P)2025 Podium AudioThe narration itself wasn’t bad. There were a few scenes that were performed really well, and I enjoyed those moments. However, overall, I felt that the performances could have been more emotionally engaging. There were times when I wanted to feel more from the characters, and while some scenes hit that mark, the audiobook didn’t move me as much as I had hoped.
As for the story, it really wasn’t my personal taste. I found it somewhat cliché, which isn’t a criticism of the genre itself, but it didn’t resonate with me here. Regarding the male main character’s point of view, I could see his obsession and love for the heroine, but it often felt overly focused on her body and lust. Even in the context of a dark romance, this made me feel that the heroine was kind of being objectified at times. It left me wondering whether his feelings were truly about her as a person or mostly tied to her appearance.
That said, I do see potential in the rest of the series, and I’m likely to continue it despite not connecting with this particular book.
This is just my personal opinion, and I hope it provides helpful context for others considering it.
Not for me, but others may enjoy it
