The female heroine's background story is so far out there... I'm honestly not demanding in that regard. After all, we all know what we're getting into with this kind of book. ;) But that just takes the cake.

Unfortunately, the various characters' voices are also hard to distinguish. And although an Irish accent is mentioned multiple times, I couldn't detect one.

Don't think I'll try another book from this series.
