I wasn't looking to fall for one man. Let alone two...

Sullivan and Will are as close as two friends can be. Growing up in the system forced them to rely on each other, and they've become accustomed to sharing everything - including women.

Now they're ready for more. To find love. To start a family. To see the dreams they've shared since childhood come true.

Apparently I tick off every box on their list - brains, beauty, and sass. I never hesitate to put both men in their places - which they find sexy as hell.

One problem, I'm a traditional girl, with traditional values - one man, one woman, till death do us part - kind of values.

They're willing to work to prove how very right the three of us could be, but what happens next is anyone's guess....

You can definitely tell that Lola Leighton is a well-known author writing under a pseudonym, stepping a bit out of her usual comfort zone into something spicier.

I really liked all three main characters — they were genuinely likable and easy to connect with. The two male leads completely stole my heart. Both grew up in an orphanage, and the fact that they had only each other all their lives made their bond so touching. I loved the idea of them sharing everything — a friendship, a business, a house… and eventually, a woman. It was such an interesting and emotional setup.

The contrast between them worked beautifully:
• Sullivan is the bright, funny, outgoing, and good-hearted cinnamon roll.
• Will is the quiet, broody, perceptive alpha.

They both had feelings for each other but kept them hidden for twenty years — until Adrienne came along. She was such a cute and layered FMC, and I liked how she brought new energy to their dynamic.

What didn’t quite work for me was the pacing. Once the triangle started, things moved very slowly in the beginning — I found myself wishing for a bit more spice earlier on. But when it did finally pick up, it felt too rushed. The conflict with Adrienne’s father added some depth and excitement, but we never find out what the guys said to convince him — that felt like a missed opportunity. The epilogue also felt a little too abrupt. And one more thing — I wish Will had as many chapters as the other two; his perspective was so compelling, and I wanted more of it.

Now, the narration was absolutely fantastic. Ava Erickson’s soft tone, accent, and calm performance were perfect for Adrienne. Jacob Morgan is always a treat to listen to, and Jason Clarke’s voice — since this is one of his older recordings — sounded softer and more natural compared to some of his newer, overly deep performances. Don’t get me wrong, I love his voice, but here it felt just right.

Overall, Bedfellows was a sweet, emotional story with a unique concept and top-notch narration — but the pacing and rushed ending brought it down a notch for me.
