There's a serial killer targeting the streets of Newcastle, seemingly picking his victims at random but subjecting them all to the same torturous end. What a cast, what a story
If I could give more stars I would. Great narrative, great performance and fantastic readers. I loved that the story played in Newcastle, my second home for a long time. Thank you for great entertainment. ⭐🌟🌟⭐⭐

Klare Hörempfehlung
Ein ausgesprochen spannender Krimi, der auch für nicht "native speaker" gut zu verstehen ist. Ich hätte ihn am liebsten am Stück gehört.

Mainstream thriller with too many generic lines
It turned me off already that the main protagonist has to be depicted as gorgeous, good breed and went to elite school, the parents rich and even the sister is good looking. Yet he sounds so strange, his lines full of cliches like "the murderer planned this to the last detail" all the time like in any generic detective TV series.
The torture scenes are really just upsetting and unnescessary. I was expecting a good and clever story, not bloody details of women being tortured.

Predictable story, characters full of clichées
No, really. I've heard better from LJ Ross! The quiet yet incredibly attractive hero with a heart of gold and the courage of Geronimo. A ruthless killer with matching evil cackle who for no reason at all kills young women as brutally as possible. Flat characters, a story with twists that are not really twists and a very bloodless narrator. Sorry, Can't recommend.

Brilliant thriller presented in the style of a radio play.
The narrator hit just the right tone to support the first class performers. Thrilling from beginning to end.

dramatization diminish the quality of the story
Why change the winning team with J. Keeble as narrator in a unabridged reading? He is so much better in create a perfect atmosphere. The sound effects disturbes the story which is already broken in the process of dramatization. The part where the victim speaks is rather full of bloodthirsty effects. The speakers are OK but this does not rescue the case. Please don't do it again.

Musik?
Ich finde diese musikalische Untermalung furchtbar. Zum einen ist sie nervig, gefällt mir nicht und ist so laut, dass die Erzähler teilweise schlecht zu verstehen sind.

Pity...
I have started listening to this, the producers have tried too hard for my liking, making it actually boring to listen to. I have stopped after a couple of chapters as the combination of storyline and presentation failed completely to capture me.
