Excellent Story, Excellent Narration
This new narration is far better than the older versions, no strong accent bias makes it more listener inclusive. I wish they would hurry up and do the third.

Geniale Sprecherin
Rosamund Pike ist einfach unglaublich gut und ich liebe ihre Interpretation der einzelnen Charaktere und Völker. Vor allem Uno und die Seanchan.
Bei weitem die beste Version des Hörbuches.

Even better than book 1
Two things really make this audiobook great.
-Rosamund Pike’s narration (I pray they keep getting her to read the others.)
-all the little things. (The book is just very well written. Every tiny detail matters and comes back in some significant way in a later chapter. And I have yet to meet a character in this text I don’t find absolutely fascinating)

Bless Rosamund Pike
I guess, everything has already been said about this second book of the Wheel of Time series, which thankfully got a new narration.
The previous version performed by Reading and Kramer in 2006 actually made me stop listening after 15 to 20 minutes, so I was curious about this new recording narrated by the - in my opinion - underrated British actress Rosamund Pike.
After listening to her Jane Austen narrations I got intrigued about her portrayal of this fantasy saga, and boy, she does an incredible job. I bought the first audiobook and almost immediately the second (and third) one because it is done so perfectly well: intonation, accents, dialogues (including singing) of all those different characters and her own narration are done so intuitively that you as a listener have absolutely no trouble following the plot and are able to "see" everything clearly.
The story ... well ... it weaves as the wheel wills ;)
