Her voice <3
Rosamund's voice is just wonderful and so diverse. I truly hope she'll be recording the other books as well. The mixing of the volume could be better in certain parts, but otherwise I can't complain about anything.

One of the best audio books I've ever heard
Apart from the compelling plot, this audiobook drew me in solely because of Rosamund Pike's style of narration. I found her voice to be very easy and very nice (for lack of a better word) to listen to. She finds different voices for all the characters which makes it quite easy to follow the story and also very interesting. This is a very long read (listen) but it doesn't get boring or confusing. It's so well read that I couldn't get enough and got through the whole book in only a couple of days. I really hope she'll narrate more of the books!

Brilliantly narrated by Moiraine Sedai herself
I love this production so much. It make all the difference when the book is narrated by someone who is actually part of the story. Rosamund Pike is just brilliant, she makes every character come to life.
The story itself is marvellous, thrilling and beautifully written.

Great voice!
The Eye of the World is an extremely complex world, which sometimes lost me for all the names and places that appear. It is still very compelling and a lot of fun. I love Rosamunde Pikes voice and hope she is going to do more books!!!

great book, astonishing reader (rosamund pike)
the world is as massive as only tolkien could build it, so much background and history, its really catching.
cant write to much without spoilering, but as much as this - the worldsetting is amazing, a lot of magic is involved and very deep character thinking. in some terms it can be a bit 'to long' in terms of description and details, but in total its a great beginning of a big story (15books).

the speaker rosamund pike is on another level. how she speaks the prolog, storys of the past (menetherin), or the ogir is astonishing.
having her only in the first book really makes all the others so much worse. i dont wanna say the others are bad, but bad compared to her and this woman-male speaking is quite confusing too (in the other books with different/more speakers)

Very cool audiobook
I came here after seeing the show and I have to say that the show really helped understanding some things in the book - despite there being many differences. That being said, it is a fantastic production and absolutely worth your time (even though the screams get a bit hysterical here and there).

Großartige Sprecherin, sehr interessantes Buch
Ich bin von den Teasern der Serie auf Amazon auf die Story aufmerksam geworden, wollte vorher aber doch das Buch lesen / hören. Ich bin SO froh diese Neuauflage genommen zu haben! Und zwar weil:
Rosamund Pike ist einfach nur großartig als Sprecherin. Wobei Sprecherin hier zu wenig ist... sie trägt die Geschichte spannend vor, sie arbeitet großartig mit ihrer Stimme und bringt die Gefühle der Protagonisten sehr gut rüber! Ich kann mich an kein Hörbuch erinnern, in dem richtig geschrien wurde...
Ich wollte gerade schon das zweite Buch kaufen, habe aber glücklicherweise vorher die Hörprobe angemacht und erschreckt worden von dem Sprecher. Deswegen: Audible / Amazon: bitte, bitte auch die anderen Bücher neu von Rosamund Pike einsprechen lassen! Wäre mir dann auch 2 Guthaben wert.

Phantastisch
Ich wollte schon sehr lange mit dieser Reihe beginnen, konnte mich aber bisher nicht entscheiden, wie. Beim original Audiobook von 2006 gefallen mir weder Sprecher noch Ton. Und beim deutschen Hörbuch ärgert mich die doppelte Anzahl. Die Hörprobe dieser Version aber hatte mich schon nach wenigen Sekunden überzeugt! Rosamund Pike liest und klingt so phantastisch, dass es eine wahre Freude ist. Ich hoffe sehr, sie wird auch die anderen Bücher lesen!
Mir persönlich gefällt (bisher) auch die Geschichte. Ich kann mir aber vorstellen, dass das nicht allen so geht. Beim ersten Lesen von "Die Gefährten" fand ich den Anfang extrem langweilig, beim zweiten Mal hätte ich mir mehr Details gewünscht.
