Moscow, 2022. After the war begins, Viktor decides to leave Russia. But his attempts to get out lead to dead ends, and he turns to the one thing he knows well: building machines.
Using three stand-up paddleboards, a modified engine, and homemade parts, he builds a small aircraft. His plan is to take it to Kamchatka and fly across the ocean toward Alaska. There is no chance for a full test flight. He will have to find out whether it works when turning back is no longer an option.
Nastya, who has shared his life for fifteen years, stays behind. As Viktor prepares to leave, they both face the question of what his escape might cost them.
On Three SUP Boards follows an improvised aircraft from a Moscow workshop to the open Pacific. Mechanical failures, border patrols, and the ocean stand between Viktor and his destination. But getting across the border may not mean that he and Nastya are safe.
