Sara and Ezra stumbled back to the Manor and barred the doors and the windows. Sara went up the long staircase to her father's old room and grabbed one of the guns from the gun case. She didn't know how to load it and yelled down to Ezra. "Ezra, come up and load this gun for me." Ezra ran up the stairs and into the room where Sara stood. He took the rifle from Sara and looked at it with amazement. "Miss Sara, this ain't like any rifle I ever saw."
