Each November, it rolls in from Blackpine Grove, thick and deliberate, slipping through cracks and keyholes like it’s looking for someone who forgot to hide. When the fog comes, doors stay locked, windows shuttered, and no one speaks the rider’s name aloud.

Mira Lorne never believed in ghost stories not really. But when the fog returns after seventeen silent years, people begin to vanish. Whispers rise again of a faceless horseman who hunts not the living, but the guilty. And guilt, in Dreadmere, runs deep.

As the mist creeps closer to her door, Mira starts to dream of fire, of bells that ring without ropes, of eyes burning red in the smoke. The chapel ruins call to her. Her father grows quiet. The old sins begin to stir.
