What to do if you are waking up with back pain?
Adults are often affected by back pain. Around 80 percent of adults will experience lower back pain at one time or another in their lives. In fact, over 25% of adults have experienced lower back pain in the past three months. Low back pain is the leading cause of job-related disability. It can also be a significant reason for missing work in the United States.

You may not be getting the restorative sleep that you need if you wake up in the morning with your lower back hurting. Back pain can be caused by a variety of things, including past injuries or lifting heavy objects. As we age, back pain can also develop and may result from sedentary living, particularly if your body isn’t used to doing a lot of physical activity. Lower back pain may last for a few days or several weeks. It can often be treated with an underlying cause or on its own. Chronic back pain can last for up to 12 weeks. Sometimes the pain can be relieved by a medical procedure or surgery, but other times, the pain will not go away.
