  • "Journey to the Cross :: Fractured Friendship" | Sunday Service | February 22, 2026
    Feb 22 2026

    Send a text

    In this sermon, we look at the Last Supper and how Jesus shared a meal with his disciples; even Judas, who would betray him. Hopefully this week it can serve as a reminder that real friendship isn't about keeping score or cutting people off when they let us down, but about staying committed even when things get messy.

    In a world that glorifies hustle and defines us by our output, Sabbath is an act of holy resistance. This week's sermon confronts the lie that rest is earned, exposing how our busyness, escapism, and fear of surrender keep us from entering the rest God has already prepared.

    If you need rest or Sabbath in your life, may this sermon be both an introduction and an invitation for you.

  • "Awakened to Grace :: Fasting" | Sunday Service | February 8, 2026

    What if the thing we need most isn't another strategy, but a sacred pause? In this message, we explore Acts 13:1–3 and discover how the early church didn't leap into mission, they fasted first. They worshiped, they waited, and in that holy stillness, the Spirit spoke.

    We're asking: What changes when we fast? Not as panic, but as posture. Not to manipulate God, but to awaken to the grace already at work among us. Join us as we unpack how fasting clarifies our attention, exposes our attachments, sharpens our discernment, and makes us ready.

    When the noise won't stop and exhaustion sets in, where do we turn? In this week's message, we journey with the prophet Elijah into the cave: a place of fatigue, doubt, and divine encounter.

    Join us as we talk about why God doesn't always speak through the earthquake or fire, but in the whisper that cuts through chaos. Together we'll learn three ways to practice silence as a spiritual discipline and experience a guided moment of stillness together.

  • "Awakened to Grace :: Scripture" | Sunday Service | January 18, 2026

    In this week's "Awakened to Grace," we talk about Scripture, explore the ancient Shema prayer from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and how grace begins with listening to God. This message challenges us to keep Scripture close not as obligation, but as a companion shaping our daily lives.

    Jesus affirmed and expanded the Shema by connecting love for God with love for neighbor, and so we ask of ourselves today: Who are we listening to? What voices are discipling us?

    Let's Scripture a little closer this week. Let God's word shape your life!

    Awakened to Grace :: Prayer

    Prayer often feels awkward, boring, or intimidating but what if prayer isn’t about saying the right words or trying harder to get God’s attention?

    In this week's message, we begin a new series called Awakened to Grace by exploring prayer as a way of waking up to the grace that is already present in our lives. Drawing from Psalm 86 and the wisdom of the Psalms, this sermon reframes prayer not as performance, but as honest relationship.

    We look at four simple movements of prayer: we speak, God listens, God speaks, we listen, and why the most difficult (and most important) part might be learning to listen. This message is an invitation to stop performing, start telling the truth, and create space to hear a God who is already near.

    If you’ve ever felt like you’re bad at prayer, distracted in prayer, or unsure whether God is listening, this one’s for you.

    This week we look at the journey of Christ toward the cross, using the metaphor of Maurice Ravel's "Bolero" and its crescendo as a way to see Jesus's journey to the cross as a giant crescendo of what God has been doing in our world since the very beginning.
